one day, we had weekend brunch

A few weekends ago, I saw my freidn, Hanabi in San Francisco.  It's been a while since we saw each other since last time.  Whenever we meet, we always find a place to have a great mouth-watering brunch.  This time, we tried an american diner (cafe) called Mama's in North Beach, San Francisco. By the time I got there, there was a looonngg line already! But, the smart girl, Hanabi, had been in the line for 20 minutes!

I LOVE sweets with a cup of COFEE!  Especially, I like to eat pastries such as chocolate-croissan, denish, and scones! (Of course, muffins, too)  in the morning.  I like American style breakfast like eggs and bacon, too, but I thought I should not miss their waffles!

    They use fresh fruits and vegitables.  Freshly squeezed orange juice... BUT, I know what I want...usually.

We usually started talking about what's going on with each other as soon as we had a table before even ordering food.  I've been busy with my work because sometimes I had to work on Saturdays, and I had to go to friends' parties or exihibitions.  December always keeps me busy and because of that, I tend to get sickness.  Winter might not be a good season for me.  Plus, I hang out with my boyfreind, Tomo, that's another reason why I've been busy.   Maybe I can make an excuse not to update this so often?

Anyway,  my food arrived.  I ordered "chocolate-banana-waffle"  Look how this gorgeous waffle is !! Lots of berries, slices of banana, and pure maple syrup!!  It's crunchy outside, but it's soft inside.  The sweet maple syrup and chocolate syrup go well with those berries! Ahh!

Hanabi ordered "Mama's French toast with seasonal fruits" something like that.  Hers had again, tongs of berries over the French toast.  That looked really tasty as well. 

    Mama's has been serving their food for over 50 years in North Beach area in San Francisco.  Although we waited for over 30 minutes, it's worth it!

I want to try some omlets or their egg dishes next time!
