looking for a gift for my friend's birthday

   One Saturday, I decided to go to Mission street in San Francisco to look for my favorite friends' birthday present.   I actually didn't know what to get for her...

とある土曜日にお気に入りの友人の誕生日プレゼントを購入するためにサンフランシスコ市内にあるミッション地区まで行く事にしました。特に何をプレゼントをするかはまだ決めてないのだけど。。。

Mission Districs (The Mission) is a neighborhood in San Francisco and has very unique characteristics.   It used to be a neiborhood of Latinos back in 1960s, and 1970s, but nowadays, a lot of young artists, hipstars (young-rich/middle class people) besides Latino community have reidences.  Lots of nice restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques/shops in this area and it's just fun to just walk around!

ミッション地区はサンフランシスコ市内にあり、１９６０年代や７０年代にはラテン人（メキシコ系やスペイン系）が多く住まれていたのが、現在ではアーティストや３０代４０代で成功してる若者も多くみられる街でもあります。多くのレストラン、コーヒーショップ（カフェね）、そして洋服屋（ブティックから古着屋まで）などがたくさんあり、歩くだけでも楽しめるところです。

Walking around to go to a shop that I want to check out.  I hope they have something unique and fits my friend's personarity.

Passing by a urpab style furtiture store.  I love the green plant!  Maybe I should get the same kind and put it in the bathroom!

一つのモダン家具を扱うお店の前を通ると、ある植物が。とても気に入っちゃって写真撮り。

６０年代っぽい看板発見！

今日はとてもポカポカしてて過ごしやすいお昼さがりでした。

Noo...  I almost came here to see this shop!

This shop, The CURIOSITY SHOPPE has various qunique crafts made by artists.  I believe they are made by a lot of local artists. 

This is a quite disappointg!  Well, let's move on next!

あれ！！ちょっと。お店が閉まってます。

ここに来た理由は、このお店でプレゼントを選ぶためだったのに。

このお店にはたくさんおユニークな雑貨が売られてます。おそらく、ローカルのアーティストが作ったものかなが多し。　　

それにしても残念だ。。。　よし、次に行こう！
